Meet Your Instructor: Matt Garcia of Barnett & Garcia, PLLC

Matias Eduardo Garcia

Matt Garcia is the managing member of Barnett & Garcia, PLLC. A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin School of Business and School of Law, Matt brings his sense of business to the practice of law.

For over 20 years, Matt and his firm have prosecuted and collected on thousands of cases. Matt is admitted to the State Bar of Texas and the Western and Eastern District of Texas. He currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Austin Bar Association and Texas Creditors Bar Association. Matt is passionate about debt collection and is a frequent speaker on various topics regarding credit, collections and judgment enforcement.

Matt recently served as President of the Texas Creditors Bar Association. He currently serves as Secretary of the Texas Association of Turnover Receivers, is an Editor of the State Bar of Texas Collections Manual and is Counselor to Robert Calvert Inn of Court. He recently served on the Board of Governors and Recording Secretary for the Commercial Law League of America.
