Summary
If the Covid Era has taught us anything, it’s the importance of adapting. With that in mind, this year’s convention program is going to look a bit different than the conferences you’ve attended in the past. We have invited John Streitmatter, Director at the Leadership Research Institute, to walk attendees through a process designed to strategically address the unprecedented challenges members are facing in the “new” commercial collection space. John has worked in the collections industry for many years and is skilled in leadership and operational management expertise. With John’s help, the convention planning committee has analyzed the industry’s top five pain points. At the convention, John and the attendees will collaboratively devise ideas to address today’s concerns in areas such as recruiting and hiring, prospecting and client relations, and managing regulatory pressures. Thursday’s sessions will be an interactive strategic dive into these issues and more. John will then synthesis the discussion and provide tangible take-aways you can implement in your organization.

  • Valerie Ingold - Vice President, Commercial Collection Corp. of NY
You could say my career in collections was inevitable, but as a young college kid I didn't see it that way. I started with CCC in 1998, part time, as a receptionist while I earned Photography and Art History degrees. I began making calls for our Outsource department shortly after that and went full time as an Outsource Specialist after college. I was promoted to Outsource Supervisor with responsibility for the day to day operations of the department and a few years later, to Outsource Manager. In 2013, I became a Vice President in the company. I am a Dale Carnegie graduate and I am active in the IACC and CLLA. Today, achieving the highest level of customer service in our industry is my passion. I work to grow our Outsource department daily and I love managing the people in my department. I travel regularly for the company and I delight in experiencing new places while meeting the people who drive us to greatness: our clients.
